early 10,000 infantry reinforcements come up from over the hill being led by a Battle-Titan, the ultimate weapon of war. The giant reptile unleashes a heart-stopping roar swinging its massive jaw from side to side addressing all who stand before it. Battle armor covers it’s body with a very prestigiously dressed firebender atop it’s back. Spikes on the beasts tail add another terrifying weapon to the creatures already formidable arsenal. The battle isn’t looking good, for the first time since they could remember real, sincere fear, the kind of fear where you honestly think your young life could end right here and now, ripples through the spines of our young heroes. If only they new how the Lotus infantry men felt…
The party shudders off their fear and return their attention to the situation at hand. Gathering the Crimson Dragons they charge up to meet the enemy and break through to the surrounded phalanx squad. The few Komodo Rhinos in front of them charge through ranks of men. One of the massive beasts clips Fow Bang Chow with a horn gashing him in the arm. Tsing Tao, also running ahead of the others, dodges a rhinos gore and lands a couple heavy blows to the creatures face, pulling his shoulder in the process. The martial artist lands a severe hit to the creatures back leg, shattering it with his bone-crushing kick. Aumanil rises tentacles of water behind the cavalry and uses them to take out some of the firebenders running behind. Fang Po Po joins the fray, using streams of condensed air to knock riders from their mounts while Kio, running up the face of the collapsed rhino killed by the martial artists, flips over the cavalry line and sets fire to the infantry behind. Fow Bang Chow pulls out his Dia Li Shackles, long chains with earthen clamps on the end. Using the shackles he grabs on to the riders arms and pulls on the chains from afar. The rider holds on to the saddle, exactly what the crafty earthbender was counting on, and the force of pulling on the shackles propels him towards the rider. Fow straightens his leg on kicks the rider off the saddle and begins to reign in the rhino to ride it himself. A skilled firebender jumps over the corpse of the Komodo Rhino Tsing Tao killed and unleashes a stream of fire at the martial artist. As the flames stream towards Tsing Toa, Fang Po Po lets out a condensed slash of air that rips through the benders outstretched hands cutting off the flames.
The party manages to fight through the line of cavalry, killing most in the process, and fight there way up to the surrounded phalanx group up on the hill. Inspired by their heroic charge through the enemy lines, the surrounding troops push the line up to the phalanx and get them behind the line. Despite the reforming of the line the Lotus troops take some heavier casualties from the cavalry assault. The left side pushes back forward, but the party learns from a messenger that the right side is being attacked by the two armored saber-toothed moose lions and is taking heavy casualties. The group mounts some Ostrich Horses and head over to the right side with Jaraiya and the Crimson Dragons.
The group rides through the back of the lotus army making all haste to the right side. Flaming catapult shots begin to hail down on the army. Airbenders atop sky bison try their best to repel the siege attacks but some make it through causing serious damage. The group approaches the right side and sees a huge vacant area where the Saber-Toothed Moose Lions are wrecking havoc. The massive beasts jump across the field swiping groups off men away with their claws as arrows and spears bounce of their metal armor. The crimson dragons ride wide to the sides of the beasts to keep the infantry at bay as the group of young heroes ride into battle with the lions. Tsing Tao and Avatar Jaraiya are the first to charge in and focus on the lion to the right. The martial artist rides forward and jumps off his mount to deliver a powerful kick to the beast leg causing it to reel back in furry. It strikes out with its’ left paw smacking Tsing Tao, sending flying towards the other lion. It lashes out with its’ other paw swiping the Ostrich Horse into Jaraiya and his mount, killing the other horse on impact and landing them both on Jaraiya, who struggles to get the heavy creatures off his chest. Fow Bang Chow positions himself a ways from the left lion atop his Komodo Rhinoceros and concentrates to bring a massive boulder from the earth and launch it at the Saber-Toothed Moose Lion, shattering it on the creatures head. The lion shakes its’ head in pain and charges at the earthbender. The lions giant horns hit him in the chest, the sheer force knocking him unconscious and severely wounding him. His rhino reacts in terror bellowing out and running back to the other party members. Fow Bang Chow flops back and forth in the saddle as the rhino bolts back to the group and Aumanil runs over to it, grabbing the reins and reaching up to use his waterbending abilities to fix the damage in Fow’s body. Fang Po Po runs to the left lion and uses his Air Scythe, putting a deep slash in the creatures leg and cutting right through the loose metal armor. Kio lets out a stream of intense fire at the left lion after it gores his friend, singing it. The lion roars in pain and turns towards the firebender. Tsing Tao gets up and strikes out at the wounded lion with his pink staff of desperation, landing a heavy blow on it’s rear leg. The other beast charges the martial artist but only manages to clip him as Tsing Toa jumps to the side, desperate to avoid ending up like Fow. Fow Bang Chow regains consciousness thanks to the waterbenders quick action and shoots blasts of earth at his attacker, seeing its’ weakened state, the remnants of Kio’s fire still dying out on its’ armored side. The group tries to get to Jaraiya and help lift the horse but they can’t risk to let off the attack. Aumanil uses the moist air to draw water into three giant tentacles and slams them into the left lion, knocking it to the side while Fang Po Po launches condensed blasts of air into the same side, reinforcing Aumanil. Kio sets his swords aflame and charges, jumping into the air and slamming the flaming blades into its’ side. The Lion stumbles and falls to the ground, mortally wounded. The second Lion begins to charge at the benders, roaring in furry. Lotus soldiers begin to push forward, inspired by the heroic actions of the part and launching a barrage of arrows and spears at the lion, joined by the benders in an all out attack. Some of the Crimson Dragons help Jaraiya out from under the horse bodies and they to join in, overcoming and slaying the beast. As the Saber-Toothed Moose Lions are slain the right side manages to hold off the Order onslaught and begin to push back again despite losses against a much larger force.
In the sky above Sky bison and airbender begin to drop boulders down on the Order troops. On the left side the master airbender Monk Arhat rises onto a wind funnel and slams down, expelling air all around him, knocking back scores of men. he spins with un-natural speed sending out violent waves of condensed air slashing through flesh and bone of all before him. A group of fire-benders launches a united stream of fire at the master bender, Ahrat expels a thick air shield outward and the fire is blown back into the enemy troops setting them aflame. The lotus troops unleash a fierce battle cry and continue to push forward slowly. Just as the battle starts to finally turn for the better, the Battle Titan lets out a roar that dwarfs the sound of the lotus battle cry and charges forward across the field followed by 10,000 Imperial Order men. The clouds overhead grow darker and rain begins to fall upon the battlefield, blasts of flame illuminating sections of the battlefield in the cloud darkened sky. The smell of blood and burnt flesh is thick in the air.
Jaraiya and the group agree that they need to get to the General immediately and protect him from the Titan. They ride over to the commanders hill and tell Reibesch to get back so they can take care of the dinosaur. They make their stand on a 20ft hill with the front and right side forming a rock wall from the hill back to the grass, with grassy slopes coming up to the top on the left and behind. Atop the large hill are 2 Ballista with another to the left of the hill. Large boulders lie scattered behind the hill and to the left of it. A large tree stands right on the cliff-side on the left side of the hill. The group organizes 50 or so archers and the crimson dragons and prepare. Tsing Tao mounts one of the ballista on the hill while Aumanil and Kio get in the tree. Fow Bang Chow raises himself and Fang Po Po onto a 20ft high earth pillar and prepare for battle as archers surround the hill cliff and some get on the large rocks to the left of the hill, the Crimson Dragons forming a spear line on the slope.
The Battle Titan charges through the right side of the Lotus lines, spears and arrows riddling off its’ armor as it runs through hundreds of men with ease. The Imperial Order reinforcements collide with the line and the right side is losing ground fast to the invaders. The titan rages straight for the hill and its’ true ferocity becomes apparent as it roars at the party, charging straight for them, a wake of bodies left behind it. The ballista fire, one grazing the thick armor plates of the young dinosaur, one missing, and one hitting it in the shoulder. The beast violently shakes his torso and the bolt dislodges, falling to the ground. The beast charges to the left side of the hill and Aumanil signals the archers to volley. Arrows fly in scores and most bounce off of the beasts armor, some finding their mark but only infuriating the Battle Titan. The benders launch blasts of earth and fire at its’ side while Aumanil brings up giant water tentacles to try and slam the beast who takes little heed. A blast of fire from Kio shoots at the firebender rider and hits him in the shoulder, doing some but not much damage through his ornate armor. Fang Po Po creates a funnel of air on the beast but it only slows it down, and the rider is held fast by leg straps. The battle Titan reaches the ballista left of the hill while the engineers try desperately to reload it, and reaching down with its’ massive jaws grabs onto the wooden frame and flings it into the Crimson Dragons, killing most of the spear-man. The firebender atop the dinosaur sets the tree aflame just as Kio jumps out. Aumanil manages to put out the flame as Fow Bang Chow brings up an earth wall between the cliff wall of the hill and a giant boulder, partially blocking the creatures way up the hill. The dinosaur, path blocked, looks up at the waterbender in the tree who has put the fire out and is now bringing the water in the area into a swirling storm of icy shards on the beast, some of which impale the rider, critically wounding him. The Battle-Titan reaches up with its’s muscular neck and takes a massive bite out of the tree’s trunk, causing it to fall. Aumanil attempts to jump from the falling tree to the rock but just misses it and falls at the feet of the titan. Tsing Tao and the other ballista fire at the beast making two hits in it’s side as it roars in pain and takes a lunge at the waterbender below him, swallowing him whole. Kio unleashes a torrent of fire into its side as it runs around the rock in his way and Fow Bang Chow, mustering great skill, brings a pointed spire of earth diagonally up in front of the beast spearing it in the chest. The massive wounded causes the creature to pull back and roar in pain before charging up the hill. It uses its massive tail to slam into the ballista the martial artist is using as he jumps off the cliff to the grass below. The flying wood knocks dozens of archers off the cliff and shards of wood fly into many of them as the beast then turns towards the column with the earthbender atop it. Fang Po Po luckily noticed that Aumanil managed to climb out of the beasts gizzard through the wound Fow inflicted and is now unconscious. The airbender manages to stabilize him but the waterbender has massive gashes in his left thigh from the beast teeth and is losing blood. Using healing water aumanil closes the wounds but the damage inside will take at least a week to heal and will leave scars for the rest of his life. Kio shoots blasts of fire at the battle titan to try and turn it away from his friend but the beast reaches up with his massive neck and jaw to try and grab Fow, blood flowing from his wounds. Just before it does Tashi and Mia fly in, the huge sky bison ramming into the beasts sides. It stumbles to the side and Scylla the Dragon flies in and lands on its back biting and clawing at it. Fow Bang Chow reaches for his Crystalline Greatsword Valorun and jumps from the pillar, bringing the green blade down on the beasts skull. The titan sways to the sides and falls to the ground dead. The Titan of the Order was defeated, how many more of these beasts did the Order have back home, and older than this juvenile…
